You have likely seen the “CHOOSE Bloomfield” lawn signs as you travel through our beautiful town. It is our way of acknowledging and respecting that families have choices in selecting a school system for their children. We appreciate those who have chosen Bloomfield Public Schools.
We have taken significant steps to enhance the Pre-K to Grade 12 experience to better prepare students for college and meaningful careers. Our culture is of high expectations, positive school climate and aspirations for excellence in academics, athletics and the arts. We offer curriculum focused on college and career readiness. What families are experiencing this year -- and can expect in the near future – are the following:
- Implementing a Talented and Gifted program for students in grades 4-8
- Expanding the Pre-K program for Bloomfield families
- Offering free summer academic/enrichment programs
- Implementing a new reading program for students in grades K-5
- Implementing a new math programs for students in grades K-8
- Continuing our Extended Learning programming for students in grades K-6
- Creating multiple career-pathways at Bloomfield High School
- Expanding offerings at the Donald F. Harris, Sr. AgriScience and Technology Center
- Advancing our work in diversity, equity, and inclusive teaching practices
