S.T.E.A.M Extended Learning Programs
Students attending Laurel and Metacomet Elementary Schools have the opportunity to join the S.T.E.A.M. Extended Learning Program which runs from Monday to Friday at both schools between the hours of 3:30-6:00 PM. The Extended Learning Programs partners for this 2021-2022 school year are Auerfarm, the Bloomfield Extension Program, the Boys & Girls Club of Hartford and Creativista, LLC.
S.T.E.A.M. is an acronym which stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Coordinators and partners have developed safe in-person programming to ensure a fun and engaging experience for each child. STEAM students have the opportunity to participate in various programs including homework help, tutoring, STEM activities, arts & crafts, music, yoga, sports and more! A light snack is provided daily for all participants.

Extended Journey After School Program
Students at Carmen Arace Intermediate School have the opportunity to enroll in the Extended Journey After School Program. The program meets Monday through Friday 2:45-5:00 pm. During this time tutoring will be available as well as an enrichment program. The enrichment partners for this program are Auerfarm, Talcott Mountain Science Center and Cornerstones Northeast Team Building.
